Newcastle Hospitals are working with Newcastle Carers to better understand the experience of carers who look after someone using Newcastle hospitals services.
We want to improve the experience of carers and, by completing this survey, you will help us to better understand the current experience and identify any areas for improvement.
The data in this survey is collected anonymously and you will not be identified when the information is reported.
If you have any questions about the survey or need any support to complete it, please contact the Experience of Care Team on nuth.experienceofcare@nhs.net or telephone 0191 2231382. If you would like to contact Newcastle Carers, please go to https://www.newcastlecarers.org.uk for information.
Please only answer the following questions if you are a carer (there is a description of what it means to be a carer below).
Who is a carer?
If you are caring for someone who is ill, disabled, has mental health problems or an addiction - and they could not manage without your support - you are a carer.
You might be looking after someone close to you who needs help and support on a regular basis. Anyone can be a carer, at any time of their life.
A 'carer' is someone who provides unpaid - they're not employed to do this - care and support to someone such as a family member, friend or neighbour.
